In the on-screen representation of the TeXmacs tree, the cursor movement represents the movement inside the tree. TeXmacs trees are represented in TeXmacs files as strings, and in the TeXmacs editor as the typeset representation of the document together with its interactive behaviour. (written here with the TeX markup used by Wikipedia) and is turned by TeXmacs' own typesetting engine into a typeset formula, here inserted as an image: TeXmacs facilitates the inputting of mathematical formulas by mapping sequences of keyboard presses to symbols. In the editor it is possible to switch between text mode and source mode editing, and support for the composition of macros is present the source editor is syntax-aware. A detailed description of the structure in the proximity of the cursor is provided in the footer of the editor window, finely selectable with left-right arrow presses. In the TeXmacs editor structure and appearance of the document are represented at the same time the structure is made evident to the user by surrounding logical units of the document in nested focus frames carrying color cues that are displayed according to the movement of the cursor. Along with the Cygwin version, a native port is available for Microsoft Windows. TeXmacs currently runs on most Unix-based architectures including Linux, FreeBSD, Cygwin, Haiku and macOS. An implementation of spreadsheets is present starting from version 1.99.12 spreadsheets in TeXmacs can take advantage of plugins (for example Python or Maxima) to compute cell values. It also features a presentation mode and a small technical drawing editor and there are plans to evolve towards a complete scientific office suite with spreadsheet capabilities. TeXmacs also supports a Scheme extension language called Guile for customizing the program and writing extensions. It can be used as a front-end to a number of computer algebra systems such as Maxima, FriCAS and SageMath, and can in turn integrate some of their output into its typesetting. TeXmacs can handle mathematical formulas, tables, images, cross-references and citations. There is a converter for MathML as well, and TeXmacs can output PDF and PostScript for printing. LaTeX also can be imported (to some extent), and both import from and export to HTML, Scheme, Verbatim, and XML is provided the HTML export is stylable with CSS (since version 1.99.14). TeXmacs is not a front-end to LaTeX but TeXmacs documents can be converted to either TeX or LaTeX. The goal of TeXmacs is to provide a WYSIWYG editor that nevertheless makes it possible to write correctly structured documents with aesthetically pleasing typesetting results. Like in many WYSIWYG editors (such as Microsoft Word), authors manipulate a document on screen which should print to a similar-looking paper copy. A cyan focus frame surrounds the innermost environment (a formula environment) the cursor is in, while the subtle gray box surrounds another active tag (the theorem environment). On another side of the editing and document preparation world, a program for visual interaction with structured texts written in LaTeX is LyX, which does not aim at WYSIWYG editing but at visual representation of the structure ( WYSIWYM).Ī screenshot showing mathematical formulas and italic font. In the 2000s and 2010s, interest on interactive editing of structured text encouraged the development of programs intended for scholars in the humanities an example of this is CWRC-Writer, a visual XML editor with "Close-to-WYSIWYG editing and enrichment of scholarly texts with meaningful visual representations of markup". 1 An outline of interactive editing of structured text (1980s-2020s)Īn outline of interactive editing of structured text (1980s-2020s) Īs a structured WYSIWYG editor and document preparation system, TeXmacs is similar to earlier structured document editors, such as Interleaf (first release 1985), Framemaker (1986), SoftQuad Author/Editor (1988), Lilac, Grif (1991), and Thot there was also academic research into interactive editing of complex typographical constructs represented logically.

Indigenous to Europe and the Middle East, the plant is now widely spread and cultivated in many regions of the world. Peppermint ( Mentha × piperita) is a hybrid species of mint, a cross between watermint and spearmint. Mentha × schultzii Boutigny ex F.W.Schultz.Mentha × pimentum Nees ex Bluff & Fingerh. This improves digestion and you’ll feel less desire to drink during a meal, which may hamper the digestive process. Regardless of whether you are taking a peppermint oil capsule, start getting into the habit of having a glass of water before a meal. While they can relieve symptoms too, they are even better as a preventative taken 30 minutes before a meal. If you don’t want to use fennel tea or ginger tea, consider keeping some enteric coated peppermint oil capsules on hand for bloating and digestive upsets. If herbal teas aren’t enough, it’s well worth trying peppermint oil capsules for digestive problems. They also work very well for preventing bloating and intestinal cramps, as long as they are taken well advance of a meal. These peppermint oil capsules are an excellent way to prevent excessive flatulence. They also contain smaller amounts of fennel and ginger oil for synergy and are strong enough to be recommended as a treatment for IBS. Heather’s Tummy Tamers are widely considered the best enteric coated peppermint oil capsules on the market. This is a healthy practice before a meal anyway and a good habit to get into. Remember to drink a big glass of water with the capsule to help it get past the stomach and into the upper intestine. If you only experience digestive problems occasionally, like when you eat certain foods, you can take a peppermint oil capsule half an hour before you eat as insurance against abdominal pain and bloating. You take them on an empty stomach, preferably 30 minutes and at least 15 minutes, before a meal with a big glass of water.įor people who experience regular bloating, or those who would like to prevent flatulence issues, peppermint oil should be taken before each main meal of the day. They also increase the chance of acid reflux and GERD symptoms.Įnteric coated peppermint oil capsules, like these highly rated ones, pass directly through your stomach and only dissolve in your upper intestine. Regular peppermint oil capsules can have a positive effect on digestion, but they may feel uncomfortable in the stomach for some people. The best way to take peppermint oil is as a capsule. It’s too powerful and is likely to irritate the mouth and esophagus. How to Take Peppermint Oilįirst of all, never use peppermint essential oil orally from a bottle. So even if you do pass wind, it will usually smell much less offensive if you’ve taken a peppermint oil capsule earlier in the day. As well as relieving trapped intestinal gases, peppermint oil capsules also improve digestive transit time, have antimicrobial properties to control bad bacteria and help prevent constipation.įor an added bonus, peppermint oil’s strong yet pleasant smell overpowers certain noxious compounds found in the lower intestine, like hydrogen sulphide. They are, however, excellent at preventing excessive flatulence problems. If you’ve just eaten and have digestive discomfort, then fennel or ginger tea is usually a better option. If you take them after a big meal they can take a while to get to work. It does, however, mean they need to be taken before a meal rather than after one for best results.īecause of this, peppermint oil capsules are a much better preventative than cure for bloating and intestinal pain. This allows more of the peppermint oil to reach the intestines in a concentrated dose. These capsules have a special coating that protects them from stomach acid and only dissolves once in the small intestine. To prevent this, and to increase its effectiveness for digestive problems, it’s recommended to use enteric coated peppermint oil capsules. Unfortunately, some people also experience side effects like acid reflux and stomach discomfort when they take peppermint oil capsules or tablets. Due to its potency, peppermint oil may work for severe cases of bloating and intestinal pain where herbal teas aren’t strong enough. For example, a positron (the antiparticle of the electron) and an antiproton (the antiparticle of the proton) can form an antihydrogen atom. Īntimatter particles bind with each other to form antimatter, just as ordinary particles bind to form normal matter. The amount of energy released is usually proportional to the total mass of the collided matter and antimatter, in accordance with the notable mass–energy equivalence equation, E= mc 2. If surrounding matter is present, the energy content of this radiation will be absorbed and converted into other forms of energy, such as heat or light. The majority of the total energy of annihilation emerges in the form of ionizing radiation. Theoretically, a particle and its antiparticle (for example, a proton and an antiproton) have the same mass, but opposite electric charge, and other differences in quantum numbers.Ī collision between any particle and its anti-particle partner leads to their mutual annihilation, giving rise to various proportions of intense photons ( gamma rays), neutrinos, and sometimes less-massive particle–antiparticle pairs. No macroscopic amount of antimatter has ever been assembled due to the extreme cost and difficulty of production and handling. Miniscule numbers of antiparticles are generated daily at particle accelerators-total artificial production has been only a few nanograms -and in natural processes like cosmic ray collisions and some types of radioactive decay, but only a tiny fraction of these have successfully been bound together in experiments to form antiatoms. In modern physics, antimatter is defined as matter composed of the antiparticles (or "partners") of the corresponding particles in "ordinary" matter. The definition of service animals, in reference to the Fair Housing Act, is broader than the ADA’s definition of service animals. However, depending on the law followed, some extra steps may be needed for that disabled person to have their animal in the apartment complex. While discrimination laws apply to those who are disabled, in cases of services animals, disabled people cannot be denied services and accommodations for housing. Do these rights apply to my Emotional Support Animal? Because of the NYS Human Rights Law, these laws apply to all types of housing, including, but not limited to, public housing, condominiums, cooperatives, and rental apartments.Įmotional support animal owners have rights that allow their animals to live with them, even if Co-op rules do not allow pets in the building. This law is the New York State Human Rights Law, which prohibits housing discrimination based off of race, creed, national origin, sex, age, marital status, military status, family status, sexual orientation, gender identity, and disability. What Do New York State housing laws state about discrimination?Īccording to the NYS Fair Housing Guide, discriminating against a person with a disability because of their need to use an emotional support animal in order to enjoy their apartment complex is prohibited by law. However, because they are required to follow federal regulations, a tenant or shareholder with a disability can reference federal rules in cases of discrimination. Because owners can be both shareholders and tenants, issues faced can be complicated to handle because of how the Board of Directors can mainly be a third party in dispute matters. These cooperative buildings have their own Co-op Board of Directors, who follow internal laws set forth by federal regulations. These shares entitle the purchaser to a long term proprietary lease for the space.
From the backgrounds that look fine even 17 years later, the powerful electro soundtrack, the paddle's movement that feels just right with the mouse, the ball and brick physics that just stick the landing, there is nothing this game gets wrong. It was therefore fairly unexpected to see Reflexive drop an impressive (to say the least) Breakout clone, but why was it so good? And most importantly, why is it so damn good to this day? You know those, PopCap was the king in that space with stuff like Bejeweled, Zuma, Plants VS Zombies and Bookworm, but it was apparently a profitable enough business for many companies to co-exist. If you don't know Reflexive, you're forgiven: they're mainly known for making a lot of hit or miss puzzle games, match 3 clones and so on like many smaller studios did in that era on PC, those classic generic-looking 20$ puzzle games with a trial you can play for free and the unlock code you had to buy. When Ricochet Xtreme was first released in 2001 by Reflexive Entertainment, the genre was indeed shaken up from its core. The game series was also known as Rebound in some regions, for the record, possibly to avoid confusion with the Valve game of the same name. I'm talking about the Ricochet games, namely Ricochet Xtreme, Ricochet Lost Worlds, Ricochet Lost Worlds: Recharged and Ricochet Infinity. And while I really enjoyed this game back in the day, I realize it hasn't aged as well as a game series that once, between 20 on PC mainly, took the genre and simply obliterated every other game out there for quality, charm, replayability, precision, variety, content, and then some. Through levels increasing in complexity, power-ups, multiballs, special blocks and dynamic stages, the boundaries of what such a relatively limited gamestyle were pushed farther and farther, and when a DX-Ball 2 remaster was released recently, I figured I'd jump back. the art of moving your paddle on the bottom of the screen to bounce around a ball that destroys bricks on top is an old one, and many developers attempted to create the perfect formula for it. Games like Arkanoid, DX-Ball, Block Breaker, not to mention those (probably Chinese) Game Boy knockoffs with games like Tetris or Breakout pre-installed on them. It makes sense, after all: there are certain genres and games that practically reached perfection at one point, and it's hard to improve in that direction anymore, the only way to do better is go in a different direction altogether.īreakout clones were all the rage some time ago. A lot of people point at the NES or SNES installments of Mario claiming those are still the unbeaten kings of 2D platformers. Others say Doom (1993) is still the best FPS ever created. Many claim to this day Street Fighter 2 is the best fighting game ever made. It happens fairly often that the best installment in a genre remains unbeaten for long. Whether you need to build a vegetable farm on a steep hillside, or you want to spruce up your place with some potted plants, the ability is there.īreakwaters is designed for three different types of players: Homesteaders, Explorers, and Adventurers. A wide variety of farming options is just one way to create an island world that is both functional and beautiful. Not satisfied with living in a cozy, beachfront hut with an unbeatable view of the ocean? Use the floating dock feature to build your dream overwater bungalow! Powerful crystals hidden in the world around you can help you create water where none existed, repel the ocean to harvest resources, attract water to a contained area and more. Using pumps and pipes isn’t the only way to move water to your advantage. By using pumps and pipes strategically, you can carve the world around you into the environment you need to succeed in your quest to become a Breakwater, whether that means turning a valley into a lake or creating a devastating flood in the lowlands. Use the water pressure to power contraptions and sensors to automate tasks across your homestead. This feature set allows you to create plumbing systems that can drain bodies of water to reveal resources and pump water into structures for storage. Work together to build a home base, team up to tackle a Titan or just walk the shoreline and take in the view While the single-player experience is compelling, exploring the 350+ square kilometer open world is more fun with friends. No man is an island, not even in Breakwaters. Other contraptions include fog lights, armor, ballista, sails, motors, and more! Or, without a cannon on board, you could lose that sunken treasure and more if you can’t defend yourself while at sea. Without a crane on board, you could miss out on grabbing sunken treasure from the ocean floor. You must think carefully about what contraptions you’ll equip on your boat and how you’ll use them. Different blueprints can be found or purchased in the Breakwaters world, with each boat having different functions and features, such as the number of contraption slots they have, where those slots are located, and how much contraption weight a boat can handle. The type of vessel you build plays a key part in your play style, and you’ll need to be strategic when considering the best vehicle. To build a boat, you must have blueprints and access to a floating dock. Since hitting their initial funding goal, along with quite a few stretch goals, the team at Soaring Pixels has been busy preparing and perfecting some pretty cool features for the upcoming Early Access launch, including: Originally announced via Kickstarter earlier this year, Breakwaters immediately resonated with fans and was funded in just 3.5 hours. Featuring the largest in-game ocean simulation, how you control the ocean and what lies beneath the waves will determine your success in this unique interactive open-world experience. With Early Access release date information rolling in soon, this is the perfect time to get to know the ropes of Breakwaters. Different strategies, such as building walls to contain the ocean or block waves, are key to rebuilding and helping the world recover from the constant chaos inflicted by Titans. Powerful crystals are used to displace water and reveal resources to harvest and quests to complete. Surrounded by a sea of mysteries and possibilities, one of the first things players will notice in Breakwaters is that water behaves differently here. Can you earn the right to become a Breakwater and stop the Titans? Artifacts from a dead civilization beneath the waves, these massive monsters constantly roam the world, causing destruction. Solo or with friends, players explore a procedural world with dangerous ocean depths and nearby islands while battling or avoiding terrifying Titans. Play solo, or join friends online to explore, build a home to defend, defeat massive Titans, and bring calm to the waves. Swim, sail, and fly to find new islands with unique resources to build, craft, and survive. Breakwaters evolves the way you interact with water. This left me unable to control the box at all, with a reboot being the only solution, a pain when the box was mounted behind my wall-mounted TV. The remote has had disconnection issues on multiple occasions, specifically with the streaming box disconnecting from the remote. I have run into a few bugs that I’d consider more than minor. and makes it more comfortable with a longer, slightly flatter design. It takes just about everything that was good about the remote included with the new Chromecast - the IR blaster, the input button, the clicky buttons, etc. This is the first use of the Google-designed G10 remote in the mass market, and it’s a very, very good design. The highlight has been the remote, of course. It’s easily on par if not better than the Chromecast with Google TV in that aspect. Overall performance is solid, to say the least, with apps generally feeling snappy and the Android TV homescreen running just as good as any other box/stick I’ve used. However, I’ve only been happy with just about everything so far. For being so inexpensive I fully expected the experience to suffer considerably. I’ve been using the 4K option from Walmart’s lineup for the past few days and, frankly, I’ve been rather happy with it so far. They also both ship with a Google-designed remote based on the G10 design. Both run the standard Android TV platform, not the newer Google TV. The FHD device, meanwhile uses the streaming stick form factor popularized by Roku, Amazon Fire TV, and Google’s original Chromecast. To recap these devices, the 4K device is a streaming box with a form factor similar to Google’s ADT-3 developer device. As for online orders, Walmart tells us that the 4K model, which costs $29.88, should be available for purchase online, but the $24.88 FHD version is still being finalized for online orders. Customers have been able to buy the device for about a week if it showed up in their store, but as of this week the streamers should both be available in stores. Now, though, Walmart has officially started selling its onn-branded Android TV streamers, and we’ve spent a few days with one of them, too.Īfter being on the retailer’s website for over a month now, Walmart confirmed today to 9to5Google that sales have officially started on the device. It’s been absolutely no secret that Walmart has been working on a duo of Android TV streaming devices, but the lead-up to launch has been a little odd to say the least. You can check out some of my other recipes here. Which is almost ten dollars less than the ones we originally got out on the Las Vegas Strip. Each lobster tail was 6.99 at the store, so my guess is that these come out to around 7.50 to make. It was absolutely incredible, and way cheaper. After a little bit of cooling, we ate the lobster tails with lobster and melted butter. When they were finished he put them on a paper towel covered plate to cool. He dipped the lobster tails into the batter, and immediately dropped them into the hot oil. Once the lobster were ready, we add 3/4 of a bottle of bud light and mixed until there were no more lumps. Once he had finished taking the lobster out of its shell, he lightly coated them in flour. While David tackled the shells, he had me mix cornstarch, flour, parsley, salt, garlic powder, and half of a Goya sazon packet together in a bowl. David started out by heating oil in a pan, and then he tackled taking the lobster tails out of their shells. I won’t lie, I definitely like David’s beer battered lobster tails even more. David decided he was going to make them at home, and see if they lived up to the ones at the Venetian. It was absolutely delicious, but not really realistic at $17 per lobster tail. Last weekend David & I were at the Venetian, and tried a fried lobster tail on a stick. Fans like those who wrote reviews have similar opinions, so for me, if you are reading this, editor or not, please know that the Rolling Sky you are playing, isn’t the same anymore, it doesn’t some of the original, like Labyrinth, which I don’t remember playing because it’s been so long since I’ve played. This is a good game, and most of the good levels from the older updates aren’t here with us anymore. And even though it explained the tutorial, it still explains! I of course play it, and a few levels later, it takes me to the very first level that came out. As soon as it gets past the company name stuff, it immediately starts a level. Few years later I decided to get a taste of nostalgia and I redownloaded Rolling Sky. 6-year old me would ask one of my parents if I could play on their phone just to get back to Rolling Sky. Probably downloaded this on IOS, and this game was freakishly outstanding. This is from a 10-year old, and I would like to say this, like all the other people who wrote a review, what went wrong? This game for me, used to be the place that made me smile sometimes, and enjoy apps like this. Also one final thing, I noticed you guys haven’t updated in a while, and I see that well. Somehow I did beat 3rd birthday and 4th birthday. I used to be a pro at the game until they added extremely hard levels I absolutely couldn’t beat. I don’t like this game anymore because they ruined it in so many ways, and let down so many people, it’s ridiculous. I also came back to this review section just to see a comment I was about to post about how much I loved this game years ago. all of the levels cost money and it seems like you guys over at cheetah aren’t doing to swell. WHY does all of the new levels cost money? These levels used to be free! Even with the keys, i didn’t mind it. Also the fact that my favorite level, e-labyrinth, which I mastered and played all the time.m, randomly locked itself and it costed money to get it back. And I get that some of the levels were removed. I’m back here again, a while later to see that well. This was legitimately my favorite game back then. I came back to this game for a taste of nostalgia to see what has changed and well, a ton. Hello, just your average 13 year old here. This one has gone too far out of control. I think you should go back to the old version. It just seems like you’re trying too hard at this point. I miss when I could swipe through the levels, all eleven of them. The different set up, so many levels I couldn’t keep track of them all, and the puzzle pieces. But when everything changed it really was not okay. A level being released once every month or two was awesome, it was exciting and made me want to keep playing. I think it started with the mass release of levels and the option to change how your character looked. When the candy level and monody were released, we played them until we passed them. There were the perfect amount of levels, you knew it wasn’t impossible to beat them all-there weren’t that many. This was back when I was in fourth, maybe fifth grade.
